Job Title: Hadoop Platform Support Engineer (L3 Support) Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite) Job Description We are seeking an experienced Hadoop Platform Support Engineer to provide L3 support for a large-scale Hadoop environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the Hadoop platform to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability. Responsibilities Provide L3 production support for Hadoop platform issues. Manage and support Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS). Monitor cluster health and resolve performance bottlenecks. Troubleshoot and resolve Hadoop ecosystem-related issues. Support data ingestion and workflow processes. Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams. Perform capacity planning, system maintenance, and performance tuning. Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and integration. Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures. Required Skills Strong experience with Hadoop ecosystem and HDFS. Hands‑on experience in Hadoop Platform L3 Support. Experience in Hadoop administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of GCP and cloud‑based data services. Experience with data ingestion and workflow management tools. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Skills Apache Spark, Hive, or Pig experience. ETL and Data Engineering experience. Python, Java, or Scala skills. Docker and Kubernetes experience. Knowledge of data governance and security best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
