The Digital Media Strategist serves as the primary digital partner to assigned Northwestern Media radio stations, owning the strategy, execution, and outcomes of multi-channel audience engagement. This role translates each station's audience insights, ministry goals, and market dynamics into effective digital campaigns across social, email, web, SMS, and app platforms — driving measurable growth and meaningful listener connection. The Digital Media Strategist will utilize strategic judgment, strong station relationships, and consistent delivery of impactful digital results to support and further the mission of Northwestern Media. This position is based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. Remote work may be considered for qualified candidates based on business needs and role requirements.
Key responsibilities include strategy ownership, campaign leadership, performance optimization, relationship management, innovation and testing, and other duties as requested or assigned.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in communications, digital media, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; minimum 2 years of experience in digital marketing, content strategy, social media, or a related field; minimum 1 year of experience developing or contributing to multi-channel campaign strategies; proven ability to build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with multiple stakeholders simultaneously; and maintaining a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflecting His character in all interactions, and faithfully upholding and embracing Northwestern's mission, Doctrinal Statement, and Declaration of Christian Community.
Nice to have includes demonstrated experience managing multiple accounts, clients, or business units simultaneously and experience in Christian media, radio, or ministry-adjacent organizations.
Key skills include independent and teamwork capabilities, confidentiality, organizational skills, technical proficiency, written and verbal communication, digital media trends understanding, flexibility, travel willingness, driver's license, and passing background checks.
