Job Description
Position Summary:
Our Design/Sales Consultants are responsible for listening to customers’ needs, discussing furniture options, layouts and have the ability to discuss and present design ideas. The ability to coordinate fabrics, finishes, styles and products together in a beautiful and cohesive design are desired skills. This is a professional sales position where building meaningful and long term customer relationships is essential. Our Design/Sales Consultants enjoy getting to know people, have an ease with communication, and enjoy the design process!
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Desire to work in a commissioned sales environment
· Driven to meet and exceed sales goals
· Dedicated to being a supportive team member
· Develop and grow knowledge of products and systems
· Lead, guide and assist our customers throughout the entire purchase process
· Develop and maintain customer relationships during and after initial purchase
· Acquire the knowledge and become proficient in the use of our software system, Storis
· Enter sales orders with custom details
· Track orders, communicate with vendors, follow up with customers
· Weekends are required
Experience/Qualifications
· Relevant sales and/or design experience
· Design education and certificate(s) an advantage, but not required
· Excellent written and oral communication skills with great listening skills
· General understanding of space planning, interior design and sales techniques
· Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies
· Career-minded professionalism
· Positive outlook and passion for design
Compensation and Benefits
· Compensation: With our generous commission based compensation plan, your income is limited only by the amount of effort you apply. Our top performers earn $150,000 +. New hire average earnings are $55,000 - $75,000 and there is guaranteed training pay when you start.
