Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and active COTA license in Florida or eligibility to obtain one
• Successful experience or training working in pediatric or school-based settings
• Understanding of IEPs and relevant school documentation practices
• Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and rapport-building abilities with students and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students as directed by supervising Occupational Therapist and in accordance with IEP goals
• Support students in developing fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors for academic success
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes
• Communicate effectively with school staff, families, and other service providers
• Participate in team meetings and help develop individualized intervention plans
• Assist in training paraprofessionals and teachers on implementing strategies within the classroom
