Job Description
We are a CPA firm, specializing in tax preparation for businesses, individuals & trusts. We are looking for a CPA with a minimum of 3-7 years’ experience in income tax & financial statement preparation. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial records and tax returns for our clients. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter with a passion for education and growth. Responsibilities
Preparation of individual, partnership, and corporation tax returns; with experience in Trust return preparation a plus. Responsibilities include gathering tax information, preparing tax returns, and corresponding with clients.
Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports.
Strong & effective communication with clients & staff.
Prepare financial statements for closely held businesses.
Respond to notices from all taxing authorities for corporations, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
Research tax issues for corporations, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for clients.
Support bookkeeping, payroll, and year-end processes as needed.
Qualifications
Active Certified Public Accountant’s license.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-7 years of previous experience in public accounting and financial reporting, focused on tax preparation for corporations, partnerships, individuals, and payroll.
Financial skills include, but not limited to, analyzing account information, reporting results, and a working knowledge of F.R.F.S.M.E. for preparation engagements. No review, or audit engagements are performed in this office.
Proficiency in computers and software including QuickBooks accounting, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 365
Previous experience with tax preparation software programs; UltraTax a plus.
Maintain job knowledge by keeping current with tax law changes.
Written and verbal communication skills.
