Description 2027 Investment Banking Summer Analyst (Internship) - Chicago, IL. Performance Trust Capital Partners, LLC, an employee‑owned investment bank, invites students who aspire to a finance career. The internship lasts 8‑10 weeks, June‑August 2027 (exact dates TBD). Program Overview Interns will be immersed in the Financial Institutions Group, working on advisory and investment opportunities for Banks, Credit Unions and other Financial Services clients. Projects will include mergers & acquisitions, capital issuance, fixed income and derivatives. Interns receive technical training, mentorship, networking events and career‑development workshops. Responsibilities Get introduced to complex financial models. Dive deep into sector trends, competitive landscapes and macroeconomic factors that shape investment decisions. Participate in live transactions, due diligence processes and cross‑functional collaboration with internal teams and departments. Assist in crafting client‑facing materials that drive strategic decision‑making and transaction execution. Work closely with senior banker members across geographical regions. Qualifications Enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program, graduating between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics. Interest in financial markets, corporate finance and/or banking, demonstrated by extracurricular activities. Quick learner with strong interest in investment banking. Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with a wide range of clients and colleagues. Enthusiastic team player.
